Fallen Hero is the final book in the series, The Shepherd King Saga. Set in the fantasy world of Altaran, the story follows the exploits of Gauderion Lionslayer, whose life mirrors, for the most part, that of King David in the Bible. Gauderion has a physical disability as well as a supernatural power. Although he has many external challenges, his greatest difficulty is overcoming his weaknesses. The book attempts to answer the question of how a man 'after God's own heart' could be capable of committing great evil. The Shepherd King Saga is also a prequel to and fills in some of the back story of the epic fantasy series The Chronicles of Altaran.
